Coralogix stopped holding the daily sync and lost nothing

Coralogix builds tooling for engineers who are dealing with production problems in real time. Its own engineering and R&D teams work the same way: deep focus, interrupted by things that genuinely cannot wait.A daily sync meeting is an interruption that can wait. It arrives at a fixed time regardless of what anyone is in the middle of, it pulls the whole team out of context at once, and the recovery cost after it lands on top of the meeting itself.The information the meeting produced was worth having. The mechanism for producing it was not.

Coralogix moved the daily meeting into Slack and made it asynchronous with Troopr Check-ins.Troopr prompts each person at a time that fits their day. They answer in a few clicks, in Slack, without leaving what they were doing. Troopr compiles the responses into a single report and posts it to the team channel.The team still has a daily. It just no longer has a daily meeting.

Coralogix returns roughly 20 minutes a day per person that was going into the sync, and gets a written record of it that nobody had before.The less obvious gain is that the report is durable. A meeting evaporates when it ends. A report in the channel is still there when someone comes back from leave and needs to know what happened.
